There is a fair bit of splatter - but they are much more interesting than your standard down pipe
Another 'thing' I'll have time to explore photographically as we settle in

I've seen those sort of 'down pipes' before.
Steady rain with a steady water flow will give some photographic opportunities. But than there's what do do with lighting?
Reckon you'll get some interesting photos.
