Not sure about the texture - to me it detracts a little from the beautiful simplicity/minimalism - but you may have been after the canvas look.

No - I liked the original, (but I think slightly darkening it was a step in the right direction ) - just questioning the added texture.

The deeper, richer colours in #1 are better but I think the drops look sharper in #2. Either way it's a great shot of a difficult subject.
