Agreed HansE, primarily a commercial exercise and somehow schools have gotten involved too. Ridiculous idea. Not our tradition, not our history, shouldn't be celebrated here.

Excellent photo HansE. I really like the pose and the way you have captured her evil intent! Not a fan of imported stuff like this though. That old chestnut "Greed" comes to mind with all this stuff! I thin it's a shame that Australia has become the "COPY" nation. It's sad that we copy the garbage and not the good stuff!

People keep saying it's an American tradition when in fact it's not, it comes from the ancient Druids from Ireland. And yes, there is money in it for the Big Stores selling Candy, masks/costumes etc.
