    I don't do much portraiture and am still trying to learn how to use my speedlight properly. These were taken at a local park with a friend of a friend acting as the model.

      I don't have much experience in portraiture but I do know what I like.

      #1 my favourite too and I think even a little more crop off the top and bottom might even focus more attention on those lovely eyes. There's a greenish tint in the skin tone but I do like the implied softness. The tint doesn't take much away from the image.

        Thanks Barb and Greg. I often scalp people Barb, think Greg might be right here and a bit more off the top would help. And, you're right there is a slight green colour cast which I didn't pick up initially - thanks, will have to warm it up a tad.
