Caroline was such a trooper for us on Saturday - our goal - 10 different looks in the one day - a big ask, absolutely - could not have been achieved without lots of planning - knowing precisely what outfits and lighting we were using for each look. I am not the type of guy that can just think on my feed, well I can, but I pretty much suck at it. So for this shot, despite everything I just said, it wasn't planned
I noticed the outfit and the lace around the top, and combined with some black tule I started thinking, now composition is classicly me - bog simple - but trying to mix it up a bit with the look. Shot natural light camera right in studio, large poly sheet reflector for fill. So while all the planning in the world will make for a smoother shoot, always be thinking what might work, you never know it might....just work

She looks as if you jumped up and surprised her!. her eyes have hypnotised me though, Now she is widowed is she looking for an unattractive bafoon of a husband?
Amazing as usual mate. with the out fits did you have to buy them or could you rent them? soo many questions. I wish you never got me involved with portrait work. haha

She has beautiful eyes, and as you say Scotty they are quite mesmerizing in this shot. Outfits were all Caroline's, with the exception of the red dress - that is one we have purchased (about $40 online) we have a black one the same - we did enquire about renting some evening wear but was going to be about $150 for the weekend which is fine if the client is willing to pay the extra costs. We have purchased some different materials as well like the tule - we have that in black and white - we also have some white chifon - which you can see em used in his "mosquito net" shots of Ellie in our studio, we also bought the red chifon to match the dress. That is one thing we will definately be having in the next studio - a props / wadrobe room. We borrowed the suitcase and red chair from Danette's sister, and we bought the small bunch of flowers. Anything we intend to buy for the session is included in our quote as production costs, which is over and above our daily rate.
