Not 100% happy with the selection of the original flowers. But another couple of years should see an improvement in abilities. I may have another go as an exercise.

Yes, it gives one time to make a note or to check if it works.

I use the Pen tool a bit, but mainly for placing text on a path when I do up flyers and brochures. A good thing if you can master it.

I've heard that we can use a button called "PAUSE" nowadays which actually stops the video and lets us oldies catch our breath
P.S. I would use "Color Selection" to isolate the red flower and then just put the selection on a new layer.
