  • slow exposure > Murray river

    I dusted off the 5D11 to do these but its not much good with a dickie shutter

    Lumix fx 200 8 seconds>f7.1>Hoyas nd x64 + nd8.

    I like this Ian. I've always thought some long-exposure shots at several of the locations you've visted would be great - looks like you're already well on the way! Nice shot.

      I like this also. We are used to seeing it with waterfalls and the surf, but on a slow inland river, that's different. It works well for me.

        I've lived on the River Murray for the last 33 years or so and I enjoy looking at your approach to this subject. You have added some life to a dying icon.
        My only Nit - Pic is the coffee gray dull water coming over the weir magically turning into the amazing colour of the river going down stream.

          after 33 years I'm surprised you don't say the water is running the wrong way gary; yep, i have rotated the file

          there is a bit of a run in the old gully so there is a lot of form and that is what made this one work better

          lol pickles; this is as good as we get as far as w/falls go!

          water moves pretty slowly out here Tim so nd filters are not that handy. I real bought NDs for leaves and grass movement but there isn't much long grass out here either lol
