Excellent shots. Really showing off the capabilities of the R7. One of several cameras I'm considering as an upgrade to my 7D Mark II.Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

Thank you David. I too jumped from the 7D2. It was a great camera but at 800K clicks on the shutter it was beginning to creak. The top dial for instance I had to clean with contact cleaner to get it to work properly. Cannot complain as it served me very well.
The R7 takes a bit of adjusting too but it is well worth it. The price is amazing for what you are getting. There really is nothing that can compete until you almost double the price IMO. I also tried the Z9, R3 and OM1 which were all superb but would have cost me somewhat more.

Lovely video soundtrack. People would pay money for that. Great set of photos, the camera is working well for you. What is the lens used??

Superb series. Were you using the animal eye tracking mode? Like I suspect many people I have lusted after this camera but my 7D Mkii has less than 30000 on the shutter so I think I will hold onto it for a while.

Lovely images with great colour and detail. I've put my camera in the cupboard for a spell, the mojo is broken. I'm content to look at images by others who have much better gear than I could ever hope to get my hands on. TFS.I Shoot A Canon

I hope you get your mojo back soon. I lost mine a couple of years back. In the end I went out with my old OM10 and a roll of ilford. Went out and did some shooting then came home and developed it straight away in my bathroom. I soon remembered what a faff film was and fired up my DSLR again. Odd way to re-charge my mojo.

If I was into bird photos it looks as if I would be lining up for a new camera with animal focus. I don't normally seeenough of them to warrant this. I have to make do with looking at your excellent shots. Thanks Phil.

Thanks Phill and Hans. I sort of got a bit put off with some members saying there were too many bird photos here and not having any other genres that took my fancy I put the camera away. It's a bit of a change doing my morning walk with Charlie and not having the camera. I'm sure I'll get it out again sometime next year and see what else gets me motivated. I'm not in a position to lash out on a new camera so I'm happy enough to admire your lovely images on here from afar.
Have a good Christmas guys.I Shoot A Canon
