One of a pod of dolphins frisking in the water about 250m from shore. With the sun behind them, all the water splashes started to sparkle a bit each time they surfed at the surface

It looks like a shark fin.

It does look a bit like a shark fin - must be the angle. The backlit splash looks good. A good result for 600mm plus crop.

Mentioning a shark reminds me of the time our boys were in the surf (quite shallow) and this dolphin appeared a couple of metres behind them. My wife came running down the beach yelling for them to get out - she saw the grey shape and thought it was a shark.
