They are a gorgeous weed and like some, are very colourful indeed. You've made them look like a fabulous flower - fit to be displayed in a crystal vase as a centre piece on the royal table at the Palace of Holyroodhouse! (that's in CANONgate Scotland).I Shoot A Canon

As you have demonstrated Kathie, it's not always the subject that is important, but how you shoot it.
#1 is my favorite. The colors, the texture and the great background are impressive.
#2 made me realise why I like to take a pair of clippers when I go out into the garden to shoot something. Not always possible with some plants, but with a thistle it's not a problem.Charles
My indecision is final, I think.
