  • More shots from our Korean Hike

As mentioned in a previous past this is the very popular Seoraksan National Park on the North East Coast, about two hours drive from Seoul.

We walked around 10k in cold and windy conditions, although we were protected from the wind for a lot of the walk. I was a little surprised at how many people we encountered on the way.

It seems that Koreans don't acknowledge others they encounter on a hike like this, unlike Australia, where you often have a short chat or at least a quick "hi' or nod. Probably something to do with fifty million people living in an area the size of SE Qld,

    1. Creek and Biseondae Rock. The creek was flowing although more of it was frozen the further up we went.

    3. Progress was slow in places as the boys wanted to check the thickness of the ice in the frozen pools

    4. One of my grandsons on the track. It started smooth but became rocky as we went along. Well defined but a little rough in places

Thanks David, it's quite a mountainous country and every bit of reasonably flat ground has either a building or crops.

That is very rugged I imagine you could take many great pictures there. I particularly like the last shot with the subdued colours and the eye catching content.

Perhaps three return visits, spring, summer, autumn.

    Hi Alan

As Hans says - very rugged country ... and unlike any that the motorhome would be happy attempting!
As to images - yes, many and varied ... perhaps the old standby of morning / afternoon shadows is needed "next time"

Even the low winter sun would have been good but only a couple of glimpses of it on this day.
Working...
