What 40+mm of rain can do

#1 - Lake with no water and no ducks one day ...

#2 - After 40+mm, the lake is full and the ducks and birds are back.

that has made a difference for sure. it is drying up here at the moment, perhaps I can drive down to the back paddock again. if not, there is always the winch again

That's a lot of water.

Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

Thanks David. I was quite gobsmacked when I saw how the lake filled up overnight. I haven't seen that in the 19 years I've lived here. We'll probably get a lot more rain thanks to"Ilsa" - the tropical cyclone heading towards our northwest coast. It looks like a category 4 - so very destructive 280kph (170mph) winds.
