Sweeping hills under the Toora (Gippsland) wind farm towers

G'day all

Across the land, wind farms are "growing" on the summit of hills where a good breeze abounds - and the slope of the hills sends that breeze directly at the dozen towers at this location.

G'day mate

What intrigued me here was the mixture of sloping sides / profile to the hills - the horizontal lines from cattle and sheep grazing over many decades, vs the straight lines of the fences and trees planted as wind breaks between paddocks. Although not in the photo, from my camera position I had a line of trees going from the road, down that 30-odd degree slope to the cross-over fence and then up the other side of the valley. A huge amount of work for the farmer many decades ago, but what a job!!

The angle of the sunlight brings out the texture in the grass and adds pleasing tones to the curve of the hills. Very nice.
