Most know me around the area Hans so I don't have a problem with that. I think having a cute pup helps aleviate any fears. Some strangers or newcomers always ask if I'm a photographer. I always lie and say "Yes" and then have a bit of a chat as they pat the dog.
For line 2 of your comment, that would be devastating to have that happen - I know it happened to my father in law who walked past a couple of kids (12-ish) fishing off a jetty and asked if they had caught anything. The mother rushed up and ushered them away and it it broke his heart and he was deeply hurt by the whole saga.

In Japan we saw 5 yearold catching the train to school by themselves. In Australia teenagers get driven to school in a Landcruiser when teenagers. It has to do with our news reporting I'm sure like the guns in America.

100% agree about the media Hans. Another thing that could be fixed easily is adjust the punishment to the crime so as not to pander to the vocal minorities. I bet if you got 15 years jail for stealing a car, there would less cars stolen. If the idiots outnumber the prison cells, buld more prisons - that means lots of jobs - a win win!
There's always the exception of course, but they would only do it every 15 years. Another thing while I'm on it: Early release for good behaviour! Wow, why not change that to Extra time for Bad Behaviour. 15 years should mean 15 years!

    G'day mate

A beaut set of images ... Q- is this the same lake as previously where it was drying up?

It's not the lake I go to most but well within a stroll. The nearly dried up lake is the fullest I've seen it in years, which is great and 2 & 3 are also high levels. Here's a map showing the lakes, all close by. They are only small but home to many and varied birdlife. #1 is my regular lake, then 2 & 3 for a bit of a change.
      #1 & 2 are lake 2
      #3 is lake 1
      #4, 5 & 6 are Lake 3
