  • It's that time of year again

    G'day all

End of Spring season, the start of the Summer months - harvesting time - the paddocks are busy with farmers checking growth and moisture levels, and booking the contractors, the blokes and their machinery, and trucks aplenty to cart the grains to the silos and rail centres.

Wheat - soon ready for the harvesting machinery

At a grain receiving centre in the next town we stopped at, I chatted to one of the operators about their side of the harvest - to be told that "yesterday we took 1000 tonnes of wheat, from one paddock on one farm and that paddock still has 1/3- still to go. They expect that farm to deliver 3,500 tonnes of wheat over 3-days of harvesting".

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

Been there, seen that Phil. I spent quite a few years in the wheat belt here in WA and nothing changes. Great captures and a nice story to go with them. TFS.
