Fabulous photos Hans! The archtecture in 1-3 is breathtaking. The builders would have had nerves of steel back then. They would have lost many workers. Ah that ham is world class and takes a long time to cure, sometimes over a year. My daughter-in-law (from Spain) lets us kn ow all about her homeland. Very expensive. Did you taste any? They do the same type of curing in Portugal (it's called presunto), you'll have to try some. The curves and rows of trees in the last one are a stand out.

Some lovely architecture there Hans, and that ham looks delicious. How are the feet holding up?

Will try and answer your questions. Yes we have and are having the ham which is a treat as well as lots of different sausages some which have loads of fat. The Chorizo is a lot different to what we get in Oz. The feet do get a work out as we walk for many hours like 8 hours in Evora. They recover and are ready for more the next day. I did try running in a new pair of sandals which was a mistake which required a fair amount of Betadine.
