    I like 2 and 3 but #1 is a bit of mystery. What is the green foreground? It looks quite odd to me.

        Ah yes, I can see that now. That extra saturation had me beat. Almost looked like a mossy bank leading up to the waters edge.

        I thought of the Rio Olympic pool but but Ironwood beat me to it further down. Never mind, great minds think alike!

            All good but the B&W is doing it for me Alan. I think gulls are a great subject.

              I'm glad the B&W got some likes - it was an experiment as I wanted to emphasise the lines and textures more than the slightly washed out colours of the original

                I sometimes convert crappy images to B&W before discarding them and am quite surprised at what I can turn into a keeper. It can often make an image with awful colouring into something worth framing. Just my thoughts.
