A stunning area but photographically a nightmare. Not allowed off the boardwalks which shake as others walk past and lots of shadows across the gorge.

Spectacular looking place. Hard to get even lighting in the wide shots, but still looks good.

Is that oil on the water on the middle pic.?

PS. Forgot to mention the good job on the framing, the banks on both sides makes the eyes stay on the water.

#1 does look difficult to expose for but you had done well. Maybe try to reduce the blue levels in the shadows?



1/8 sec was a good choice in #3 Well exposed and framed as Bill mentioned

Thanks Greg - no oil, the water is extremely clear - not sure what shows up from the high shots - maybe all the trout stirring up the bottom.
Thanks Bill - luckily the water flow is extremely fast so I managed to slow the water down enough even hand held.
Thanks Alan - will have a go at that - it definitely improves the cliff on the right.
