Alan, Charles says these are great. Beautiful atmospheric seascapes oozing with character and interest. Lovely light and color.

But you and I know they are rubbish. Alan, as your mentor, I am trying to help you improve, but like Charles, you are proving to be very hard work. All I can say is to keep trying. Don't give up yet.

My indecision is final, I think.

Lovely shots Alan and including a bird I've never seen except in photographs. We only get the pied variety up this way and then in very small numbers. #2 would be my favourite with the great lines.

Thanks Bella. I always look forward to, and appreciate, your CC with bated breath. Sorry to be slow to take advantage of your mentorship, but maybe having a poodle in every photo is a bit predictable/overpowering, (like having a bird/peacock/kangaroo in every photo?)

Apparently Charles is trying to introduce you to a wider variety of photography styles/genres (sans poodles). I know you think he is a bit thick, but his intentions are good and under his expert tutelage I'm sure you will find and appreciate a whole new world of photographic enjoyment - a bit like discovering new smells or things to roll in
