  • Lone mangrove tree in the fog

Have posted this in the minimalist comp thread but thought I'd throw in up here as well. I was attracted to the scene by the blurring of ocean and sky and also the sharp lines of the reflection. Minimal processing applied really, just a slight colour correction and a tiny rock was cloned out to keep with the minimalist theme I was after.

Captured with the canon 70-200 f/4 at a range of approx 350m.

Very nice Mick. I really like these sort of shots and struggle to do them. Mainly because I still have to discipline myself to cut out any unnecessary clutter from my images when composing. I'm also amazed you get fog in Broome, we see it very rarely here.

Thanks Gabby. Plenty of fog in the Kimberley coastal regions but normally during August and September. A real pea soup special yesterday.

A great minimalist shot Mick. A little eerie as well which to me is a good thing. Great framing with the tree in the corner.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Looks Great Mick. Bit too close to the corner for my liking, but no one else seems worried - so carry on

          Cheers
