    On my monitor the moonrise looks a bit purple and just doesn't look quite right. The sunrise on the other hand looks great.

      The moon rise one doesn't do anything to me, but on the other hand the lighting in the sunrise one does. I agree the colour cast in the first one is not like any moonrise I've seen, but maybe it was a special moonrise

        I like them both .... perhaps you could have PS 'something' into the moonrise shot to give it an 'authentic feel'

          Love the light in the sunrise one, so peaceful and serene - the moonrise one not so much.

              I think 1 is the stronger of the images as it clearly focuses on the trees as subjects.
              The curving trunks and contrast is nicely focused on the trees.
              Two makes you look beyond them and there's nothing there. In two I want to find a Bunyip or pair of red eyes.

              A case of sometimes less is more.
