  • N,I, Sculpture of the Ship-- the Sirius

    G'day all

The Sirius was one of the ships used by Governor Arthur Phillip as his flagship for the First Fleet and was laden with all the food and supplies for the colony. Sadly it was caught in heavy seas and wrecked "within swimming distance of the shore" but most was lost due to heavy seas. This sculpture is on the outer wall of the Sirius museum

A close-up showing some of the detail within the sculpture

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil
