  • Original Cappuccino machine in coffee museum

    G'day all

Mareeba, in north Queensland is a very strong tea + coffee + tropical fruit growing region. At the Mareeba Coffee-Works museum there is an extensive display of early to current coffee drinking "appliances"--both for commercial and home users

This one was produced about 1915

I wonder what sort of licence you need to use that.

I saw an almost identical shaped one in Melbourne recently but I think it was a modern version.

I can see exactly how that would work in making me a perfect cup of coffee. Looks pretty straight forward. I probably wouldn't even need to read the manual. Mmmm... I wonder if it could whip up a double decaf affogato - one of my favourites!

Great old machine for them back then to work out on just how to make it actually work.
But I will say I will stick with instant coffee as I don't like all these modern tastes that come out of them.
          Great shot as well.

Isac my wife has or use to have the Gold one and I never liked that one either. I just have a simple taste. We started with Pablo Coffee and that was good until we found the Nestle Coffee and been with that for many years now.

Good heavens Phil - Pablo coffee! There's a blast from the past. I think everyone used to use that. has Nestle done something to turn you off them?

Pablo! One place I worked for many years ago only provided that but when it was 2 in the morning and you were trying to work out why a critical computer program was crashing, it was better than nothing - just.
