I like this Alan.
When I first saw the title my thoughts were 'Alan's a bit old for Woodford isn't he'................the Festival has taken on quite a different air these days.
My mates daughters go there most years..........the resultant pics are often interesting.Andrew

- never too old to enjoy musical/cultural variety. I'm a veteran of Folk Festivals - Numerella, Longford, Maleny, Woodford, Majors Creek, and of course the National in Canberra.
Great variety of music and a really friendly atmosphere.
(I must admit, the National is the only one I occasionally frequent these days)
Cheers

Alan, I have fond memories of the Maleny folk festival - NOT. When it first started we lived in Maleny, on Centenery Dve overlooking the showgrounds where it was held. After the first couple of years we used to pack up and go on holidays while the festival was on. We used to wake up to tents on our front lawn, cars parked in our garden, I'd have to get a mate to come around and tow cars out of my drive to get MY car out! The second year we walked out the front door to a bloke asleep on our front step, sleeping in his puke. They crapped in our garden, trampled everything. One bloke parked his car right in the middle of the garden bed beside the house, absolutely wrecked it. The only reason he didn't get into the BACK yard was because a tree bloked his path, so he was just going to leave his oil leaking piece of crap there. He was shown the error of his ways. Most of them from back then when it first started were nothing better than idiot Ferals without half a brain between most of them. Woodford is welcome to it. Out in the bush where it is held now they don't cause too much havoc with the locals.
