  • Shack Detail

Detail from one of the Binalong Bay shacks. As usual not sure if it works. It looked like a good candidate for b/w when I took it

i like it glen but it's not totally grabbing me as a B+W. i keep wanting the see more [or less] of the tree. It maybe in the thought of photographed at time to suit the photographer, not the subject.

it's a bit over exposed IMO. Meter reading would have better if taken from the brightest area.

I wrote recently about looking at [studying] the subject before photographing it. Later on experience will teach you to read the light and you will notice the those annoy high lights more easily>>>when you looked at the subject your eyes adjusted for the brighter foreground so you you most likely didn't see the brighter sun lite area. It's all about experience in reading the light; and yes we all get it wrong quite often.

Still a very interesting composition with the name and home built seat and it provokes thought about macka. the grass give foreground interest/framing. Now if macka was sitting there ........

Done a quick fiddle; not sure if it helps you. #2 is the original.
