#2 Hawaii national bird, Nene. A smaller version of the Canadian Grey Goose.

Where on the Hawaiian Islands did you visit?

Having been to O"ahu a number of times we decided to have a look at the big Island. We stayed at the wet side. near Hilo for a few days.
The crane was photographed throug a fence with about half inch vertical and 1 inch horizontal mesh. played with it bit much I think getting rid of the diffused grey lines on the image. It was a great looking crane though. May have another go at it as it will probably finish up in the yearbook.
