Common Bronzewing

I have seen these fairly regularly but always when I didn't have the camera with me. I've been taking my camera on my morning walks in the hope of coming across one.

Finally today this one flew across the track and landed in the grass at the edge but promptly disappeared behind a log. I got quite close without being able to see it until it finally flew off into a nearby tree

A bit too far away but at least it gave a clear shot.
