  • Pacific Baza and Red-backed Fairy-wren

My first ever shots of a Pacific Baza. I've seen them before but not when I had a camera with me. It started off hidden in the branches but I followed it around an finally got a couple of decent shots. It was a very quiet day and this gave the only decent shots but it made the walk worthwhile.

I was lucky to get any sharp images as it was quite overcast and I was using slow shutter speeds (1/400) only to later find I had the VR turned off.

#3 Red-backed Fairy-wren. This one could be sharper - it was really too far away.

Lovely set Alan. They all look nice and sharp to me, a cut above my efforts. Looks like you didn't need VR on anyway. The baza looks brilliant and it's always exciting to get a "first" into your collection.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
