I have these birds where I live. They have adapted to life in suburbia very well.

#1 - Red Capped Parrot, native to Southern Western Australia.

#2 - Twenty Eight Parrot. Also known as Yellow-collared Parrots, (Barnardius zonarius semitorquatus) and are found in south-west West Australia. Its calls sound like the words “‘twenty eight,” which explains their name.

Your experience with birds is showing. Quite a colourful lot! Surprised to find myself liking the foliage in the Honeyeater's image.
Better a full bottle in front of me

Cheers Hans. If I wasn't a photographer, I'd probably walk straight past these lovely birds. I don't mind the gum leaves, adds a bit of colour.

Thanks Alan. I love their colours. Yes it's good to be back out with the camera. I've been so busy doing other stuff and it was getting me down but the path ahead is not so debilitating so all is good again.
