  • A few more from yesterday's outing

I really took too many shots of some subjects, so I'm having trouble selecting which ones to keep.

Apologies for posting too many similar shots.

    2. Rainbow Bee-eater with (I think) a bee. Not the best shot as it's facing away from the camera. I couldn't see what it had but I could see it was hitting something against the branch.

    3. Intermediate Egret. This one was happy for me to take photos while it hunted for food. It was quite close too and this is almost the full frame.

    4. Intermediate Egret again. I took so many shots because of the interesting light - mostly in shade with some small patches of sun.

    5. Female White-browed Woodswallow. I have cleaned up most of the bright spots in the background in this one.

You're leaving me for dead with these superb shots Alan. Beautiful and very colourful series with lots of detail and good framing. You have a good variety to select from. The egrets are fascinating to watch when hunting food. Well done.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac, Sandy Camp Road has a fairly large bush area with a number of ponds and a good variety of birds. Some of them cooperated this day. There were also six or seven other photographers there.

Excellent work. The two egret shots are superb.

Thanks David, I’m happy with them, although some were soft due to slow shutter speed and some others a bit noisy.

A nice set, well caught. My favourite was the last one the swallow...:-)

Nice series with lovely colours, detail and composition in all of them. The catch in #2 looks a bit like a hornet and they do take a lot of killing.
