  • White Dove

First time I've seen a white dove in the burbs. Just landed for a quick breather and then took off. A lucky shot so happy just to get it.

Well caught. We have a flock that live in the area. Alas their favourite spot is in the middle of a busy road junction...:-)

Thanks Mark. What you say about your flock may be a bit disturbing if they are playing in the traffic.

    Nice shot. Quite beautiful.

Cheers David. The light was a bit harsh casting some heavy shadows. Things we have no control over I guess.

Perhaps a magic wand may have helped with the crappy lighting as well
What "white lines" are you referring to?

You take what you can get, well I do. Possibly a refugee from a nearby Wedding?

I have to agree Kevin, sometimes a quick snap is all that's presented. Doesn't leave much time to check the histogram, adjust and take another shot

Thanks Paul, good to see you pop in. I hope you've been well. The bird sat for 5 seconds I reckon, so happy to get a snap of a bird I never see.

Hi Greg, I have not been well, and the weather here has been horrendous, a lot of rain and 'very heavy' downpours, warning signs winter is just round the corner.

The shot of the dove is excellent, did you reduce the EV due to the reflection from the white, did you have time would probably be a better question.

Cheers Paul. Look after yourself friend and I hope you feel better real soon.
I didn't change the exposure but I did reduce the highlights in ACR which improved the feather detail a bit.

Hope you feel better soon weather wise you could move to Australia. Would feel right at hone with the rain right now

Better here in WA. A few light showers but mostly nice and sunny and mid to high 20's
I hope members in the East are not getting flooded like I'm seeing on the news, that would be extremely hard to cope with.
Working...
