  • Common Yellowthroat

More from my morning outing at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Caught this Common Yellowthroat was hopping through the bushes out of the corner of my eye. This one decided to sit there for about about 30 seconds allowing me to rattle off a few shots. The lighting isn't ideal as I would have preferred the light to my back but I was able to lift up the shadows to bring him out a little more.

Nice clear shots. I like the pose in #1 but prefer the catchlight in the eye in #2. For me the white streak in the bottom corner is a bit distracting.

Beautiful Photos of a very pretty little bird. Am I being picky? Just like to see less colour in the background to make the bird pop and cropped a bit too. I hope the edit is OK.
