  • Satin bowerbird inbound

In the late afternoon I get the light where I want it and in a NW wind the birds come in to land into the light too.
quite often I can get a good look at inbound birds and get a good track on them.
There are quite a few bowerbirds around here at the moment and we need to go find the Males' new bower.
took 2 weeks of grid searching to find the one he made last year but it was in a hopeless spot but over winter we found his blue treasures gone so think he has another one somewhere as yet undiscovered.
This Female is coming in for a landing. saw heaps flying by today but no camera. lesson there somewhere I think

The light on those spread wings and tail is beautiful Stephen. Excellent shot.

      G'day Stephen

This is one of the most dramatic / best images I have seen in a long while ... so 12/10 for this one
