This was just over the road then decided it didn't like being spied on and took off to the other side.

More good action shots Ralph - well done. They are an interesting bird to watch when they are hunting for food or doing their mating dances but always look a bit ungainly when they are in flight.

Yep I must admit to watching the feet doing the tapdance over taking photos of them then remember why I was there .
All the egrets I have seen and Herons for that matter do the same and are the same in flight as well.
