Mulga Parrot

Out on the Nowingi Track I came across this Mulga Parrot but I could see the female as if I moved I knew he would fly off and I would miss the shots.

Very nice indeed Ralph, particularly #3 as it avoids the foreground branches. Excellent detail and colour in all.

There wasn't much I could do with the branch as the next step forwards the bird would have been off.
But for me I think it just shows the bird in if full natural setting. And I was lucky enough to have a shot I could crop quite well to show most of it.

As Alan said #3 for me and a close second is #4. Nice and sharp and lovely colours. I'd like to see #1 and #2 without the shadow across the chest but you have to get what you can - when you can.

What you said is the point as there are times when you just have to go with what you have in front of you.
But funny enough I like them as they are as these are wild and I have no say on where they sit or if they fly.
A good balancing act.
