  • Local Wetland Birds

Head to the one of a few of the local wetlands and the usual suspects are there.
The 1st lot are Grey Teals and the next ones are of the once missing Australasian Grebe.
The Grebes have not been there for the last few months and I think it was a case of hide and seek.
As when I seen them there was one adult with 3 young ones and this is one of them almost fully grown.

Great to see you call in Arthur! These photos are beautifully presented and nice and sharp. The colours are wonderful - nice and natural. The grebes are so small and cute. My lake has dried up so nothing much to see right now, but the ducks will be back after some good rains. We have a small lake nearby with some water and a few ducks about so I'll go look.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Nice angles on the Teal Arthur. The grebes are great subjects if you can get close enough - they are fairly shy around here. These are nice and sharp, so well done.done.

The Grebe's for some reason are just as shy as many others but at the same time they are curious as to what you are about and will come closer to have a look at you.
But my wish is that they would come a little closer.
I have had a fair bit going on body wise and I didn't want to look like a goose so I thought it better to stay away until all was good now. And I feel it is now time to come on back out from behind the screens.

Thanks Phil it has been a little bit of a struggle but if it was easy you would learn nothing. And I am far luckier than most as I have got a camera to get out and lose myself.
