  • The Lorikeets are really gettiing into it now

I hven't been able to get out so limited to photographing around the house. Many Lorikeets now feeding and squabbling in the umbrella tree. Here are a few more shots.

These are all taken from my kitchen window after removing the glass and insect screen. Shooting through the glass gives really soft images. All with Nikon D800 and Nikon 500mm PF f/5.6

4 This is a crop of the previous image showing the detail available because of the relatively close subject distance.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. They are noisy as well as colourful but I enjoy listening to them as well as photographing them.

    G'day Alan

A superb collection - and I like the idea of removing the window ! - well done there
The crop is wonderful - shows the quality of lens you are using is well up to the task

Thanks Phil, I’m very happy with the lens. I’m definitely getting more keepers than I used to.
