Immature Comb-crested Jacana

Came across this at Tygum Park yesterday. I hadn't seen an immature before. It only has a small comb at this stage, and lacks some colouring. It wasn't as shy as most and came fairly close. Perhaps showing a bit of the recklessness of youth.

That is a wonderful image Alan. Are the legs really that green, or is there some reflection coming from the lilies?

Thanks John. The legs are green but that image does seem to have a bit of a green cast. I've reprocessed here which should be closer to the actual colour.

That does look a bit more natural Alan. There is a lot of green in the water, it's not surprising that there was a cast.

Don't see them in my neck of the woods Alan. The image has a peaceful and safe feel with the Jacana just going about its business. Lovely light.
