    G'day mate

Geez I'm chuffed at your love of your 18-400 "superzoom' ---- coz I've been in love with them for years & years !!
I am constantly reading comments from 'purists' that anything over about 3x or 4x zoom loses so much sharpness or I.Q. that such lenses really are not worth considering for 'serious photography', but your pics and mine as well seem to contradict these nay-sayers

ps- your pics are okay too

    Phil

You certainly have a lovely variety of birds around your place and well captured,#6 is a magnificent bird,,guessing you played with the BG a bit as he has a very defined edge and a bit of something around his right leg, also, did you remove something from the red below the blue breast feathers, looks smudged for want of a more technical term.
    C+C,EDITS OK
I shoot a Canon 90D with a few bits of glass.

Thanks for the CC Kevin. The original was heading for the trash because the parrot was surrounded by small branches that covered parts of his body. I guess a bit of industrial blindness and age are taking their toll. I didn't do anything to the edges except for where a large branch was in front of his foot. I'll revisit and fix.
Working...
