  • 2 juvenile crimson rosellas


    the Rosellas are continuing to visit the water here and are giving up late afternoon opportunities.
    they all seem to land on this branch and waddle down to the water, which was what I had hoped they would do too.
    these two are both juveniles but very different in colours. I suspect the redder of the 2 is probably older but nothing to base that on.
    there has been some squabbling going on so I took of the teleconverter to allow for more room so I might get some action or even wingspread or something
    d5 600f4 1/2500 f8 iso 1600 full frame but cropped to portrait. both have messed up tail feathers typical of recently fledged birds.

    Yep - both goodies and as you say #2 has a bit more colouring
    Each of them could easily grace a calendar page or your office wall
