My last bird shot

These all were down at the man made lake that the local council actually got right.
I go there as I know ther are always birds down in the water and I was after the Spotted Crake which I know isn't the best bit these for me are real quick.
By the time you get the zoom right its moved. I will nail it sooner or later.
I also use this to learn my camera better.

On this day it was on manual except for the focusing, that is another lesson I have to do.
Bit I will get there with it. Bit on this day I feel I got more right than wrong.

I have got the Australian Grebe but it might be Australasian Grebe, its late and I can't be bothered to look

This one is the Red-kneed Dottrel

The Dusky Moor Hen

I think this is the Great Egret
The Spotted Crake

I think this one is the Reed Warbler but I'm not willing to bet on it

The Murray Magpie and yes with other names that it is known as

Singing Honeyeater, which I am not embarrased to say has taken me so long to get a few shot of it in the clear

Thanks also but it helps to have a book with most birds in out area.
But I bought a new one `its called Field Guide to the Birds of Australian by Graham Pizzey and Frank Knight. Its the 9th edition.
It shows the area's where the birds can be on a map of Australia and they are drawing's with great detail in them.
I think one of the better ones as its not a great bug book.
And it was thank to Tatts as I won $55 and this was $49.99.
