or maybe not. the male powerful owl checking me out on the weekend. the whole family werent in the best of positions for pix, backlit, in heavy cover etc etc

d4 200-500 @ 500mm 1/80 sec f5.6 iso 3200. full frame in landscape but cropped to vertical

Absolutely nothing wrong with a photo of a beautiful creature in it's natural surroundings - sticks or no sticks.
