  • why do they take it?

this kooka was being chased around my backyard by the noisy miners,
had the camera at the time so got a bit lucky when it landed on my neighbours tv antenna
the miners were coming in at all directions and the kooka sat there just taking it.
the only time there was a reaction was when they went for the eye.
the kooka would close the eyes and lash out at them.

    d4 200-500 f5.6 @ 290mm. 1/1250 f5.6 iso 1600. this is about 60 percent of frame.
left room around in case the kooka spread winds or whatever.
still amazes me that large birds and even raptors take this harassment. yet they do

That's a picture that tells a great story.
Better a full bottle in front of me
      than a full frontal lobotomy.
