  • Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo

Calyptorhynchus funereus. On the bird bath this morning. First time I have seen them use it.

I've never seen them drinking, But they are regulars chewing on the trees opposite home.

Great to have the birds visiting home isn't it. The bird bath is doing its job.

Sorry to highjack your thread, but I got a shot of some Red-Tailed Black Cockies yesterday as well, in a tree near my house.

good to be getting them in your yard. since it is your own birdbath, you probably should give yourself an uppercut for not arranging a clear shot of it
exposure on the bird looks right but 1/160 is never gonna be sharp enough unless it sitting motionless. may have been worth turning the iso up higher and dealing with any noise later.
