  • Eagle on a perch.

Another one from yesterday up on the hill behind my house.
I think this is a White Breasted Sea Eagle, we are about 30km from the ocean, but it seems to match the ID in my book.
I just couldn't get a clear shot of this one, and I am not good enough to clone that mess out

Yep sea eagle. They don't only live by the sea either. Looks like it let you get close too. Bummer about the Stuff in front but an eagle is an eagle I reckon.

      Well done.

I have them flying over on my beach, but I cannot get a good shot of them - let alone perching up close

        Thanks Stephen and Alan.
Yeah, I am pretty happy to get the shots. I tried moving around a bit to get a clear shot, this was about as good as it got, I got other shots with a lot more branches in front.
        Cheers, Brad.

Look like good quality shots to me despite the twigs and branches. I've seen these in flight a number of times but never managed to get a shot.

I like the shots Ironwood, the branches do get in the way sometimes but it is showing the bird in it's natural habitat, which is a good thing.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks for the comments Alan and Isac.

I might have a go at removing some of the offending twigs on one of these shots when I have some time to kill.
              Cheers, Brad.
