Another recent Crimson Rosella (Juvenile), Platycercus elegans

I think the younger ones are even more beautiful than the adults

Excellent capture and detail showing the different feather colours
Do their beaks 'regenerate' the 'chipped off' parts? (Never had much to do with birds, what with being a crazy cat lady )

      Thanks Barb.

I know nothing about bird's beaks, but a quick Google revealed this.

      https://www.beautyofbirds.com/brokenbeaks.html

Seems beaks do not regenerate easily. But I don't think this one has serious damage?

      Bird experts opinions welcome

      Interesting info Alan, thanks

If not bleeding, and not bothering bird, then that is a good sign ..... and they do continue to grow. I wondered if they were a bit like our 'nails' .... in a way they are.

Beautiful bird nicely captured. You can never see too many of these.

Beautiful bird well captured, although I find the adult colours more attractive.

I surely think it's the other way around.
