Just a follow up from my previous post of the Lapwing. Thanks for the comments both Alan and Steven and I suspect you both would be struggling to get perfection with that particular camera. I accept that a higher ISO and faster shutter may have given a better result but as I mentioned in my comment.. The bird was not in the area of focal points at any stage.
