A selection of birds I photographed while strolling around the grounds at Kaarakin over the last couple of days.
#1 - Male Forest Red Tailed Black Cockatoo. A very friendly chap, loves to sit on your shoulder and check out anything you are wearing - earrings, jewellery, glasses, hats etc. He's the main attraction at our interactive aviary.

#2 - Female Red Tailed Black Cockatoo. Also very friendly and loves a chat whilst perched on your shoulder.

#3 - Male Carnaby's White Tailed Black Cockatoo. Endangered species because of losing their habitat, raven attacks and car strikes.

#4 - Peacock. Several of these beautiful birds stroll around the grounds, with full right of way.

#5 - Princess Parrot. A few of these live in a huge aviary amongst the various breeds of Finches.
