Both images were slightly underexposed and both are large crops so a lot of work in photoshop to get them to keeper stage. Grey and overcast sky at the time so that didn't help.

Only seen these birds once in my life so felt they were worth the effort. Bit soft and lacking detail but I like the poses.

I love anything with a beak LC. MM's are beautiful and your images are a great record of the moment. Unsharp Mask - Amount:10% / Radius:20% / Threshold:1

      Thanks Isac.

I'll try your unsharp mask suggestion later as they are a bit too soft for my liking.

The 7D-1/400 rig was pushed to its limits here sadly. Starting to show its age, just like the bloke holding it.

Both have a very arty feel to them and definitely worth the effort Mick. I was hoping to see one of these beauties down in NSW but unfortunately didn't.
