  • Crow and Coot

Walked into a small pond to get the light on the reeds and captured this crow. First time I've ever bothered photographing this rather common bird.

Beautiful light in both Gabby, especially with the 2nd. (That Coot is a bonus)
I have a friendly family of Maggies hanging around here but I've never managed to captured them in light similar to your crow/raven and produce that amount of detail with their black feathers.
      (More practice Gaz...more practice)

      Cheers.

Thanks Pete, I just always assumed all the black birds I see everywhere are crows. Now you'll have me looking for feathery growth on their beaks

Thanks Gaz, it was mostly shady where the raven was and I was pleasantly surprised with both the colour and detail when I uploaded the shots on the computer.
